Akshita Yadav, a student of KG-I in remote Andaman and Nicobar (A&N) Islands, has been honoured by Hindi Sahitya Niketan Parikalpana Best Baby Blogger Award-2011 in International Bloggers' Conference on April 30 at Hindi Bhavan, New Delhi by Uttarakhand Chief Minister Ramesh Pokhariyal Nishank.

The programme, in which renowned author Dr Ram Darash Mishra, Ashok Chakradhar and Prabhakar Shrotiy were also present, was organised by Diamond Books and Hindi Sahitya Niketan in co-ordination with Parikalpana.com and Nukkadh.com websites.

"On this occasion 51 bloggers were recognised for their outstanding performance and were awarded a cash prize, mementos and a certificate," Krishna Kumar Yadav, the proud father of Ankita Pakhi told UNI today.

Born on March 25, 2007 at Kanpur Akshita is a student of KG-I in Carmel Sr Secondary School here. The four-year old loves drawing and painting, as perhaps most of other children of her age would do.

"Later on these drawings and activities related to Akshita were posted on a Blog Pakhi ki Duniya (http://www.pakhi-akshita.blogspot.com) started on June 24, 2009. Within a year, among 30,000 Hindi blog, this blogs ratings increased to top 100 Hindi blogs, followed by more than 140 bloggers," Mr Yadav added.

The blog, run by Akshita's parents, includes interesting information about the Islands with beautiful pictures.

"So impressed was Dindayal Sharma, a well-known Rajasthani writer, by Akshita's talent that he put her photograph on the cover page of his book named 'Chun-Chun'," Mr Yadav added.
