Lenovo opens its largest flagship store in India
Bangalore | Friday, Mar 19 2010 IST

Personal computer major Lenovo India will target the retail SMB segment as it will enhance the retail penetration by 30 per cent through exclusive stores, especially in tier two and three cities, a top official said here today. Inaugurating the Lenovo's largest flagship store at 'Mantri's Square' here, Lenovo India Managing Director Amar Babu said change of strategy comes from significant learning from other key emerging markets like China and the Company was keen to capitalise on this trend in the Indian context and use retail as an effective strategic tool.

"The Flagship store is a significant step to get closer to our customers and reflects our changing focus towards retail as a key business tool and integrates with our overall business strategy for India," he said.

He said Lenovo would also look at further expansion of its product portfolio to better serve its customers and cater to specific needs and requirements. Some of the key products that the company launched this year include the Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3t, ThinkPad Edge, Thinkpad X100e and ThinkPad A70z. Lenovo also participated at CES earlier this year where it grabbed the spotlight by winning five industry awards, the most for any PC manufacturer. The Flagship Store would house the entire range of Lenovo Think and Lenovo IdeaPad and IdeaCentre range of products for Consumer and SMB.
