Dhoni-Badrinath take Chennai Super Kings to 164/3

A quick fire century stand between MS Dhoni and S Badrinath took Chennai Super Kings to 164/3 against Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens here today.

The duo remained unbeaten at the end of 20 overs after they rattled up 109 from 65 balls for the fourth wicket. Dhoni nothched up his fifth IPL half century and hit six boundaries and three over the fence. He scored 66 at an strike rate of 200.

Dhoni and Badrinath were at at his billigerent best in the slog overs and amassed 68 runs in the last five overs.

The Indian captain in particular severe and decimated knights to all parks and spolied the figures of Ishant Sharma and Shane Bond.

Badrinath smashed 43 from 33 balls and strike a six and four boundaries during his knock.

They were in the firing line of Indian captain and leaked 16 and 17 runs respectively in their last overs.

Sourav Ganguly, who lost the toss for the first time in the tournament, rotated his bowlers at regular in intervals and kept the visitors guessing till late assault by the Men in yellow.
