Cheap wheat to 4 lakh more families in Rajasthan

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has announced to extend benefit of provision of cheap wheat at the rate of Rs 2 per kg to 4 lakh more poor families which are enlisted into extended state BPL list.

Announcement to this effect was made by Mr Gehlot this evening in the state Assembly during his reply to four-day general debate on state Budget.

Mr Gehlot said these families would be benefitted at par to 20 lakh BPL families included into the Central list.

In his Budget speech last week Mr Gehlot had announced supply of wheat to BPL families at a rate of Rs 2 per Kg with effect from May.
