India No stopping of development work in AP; Krishna
Union External Affairs Minister S M Krishna today said the Indian Government had not spurned World Bank loans to take up developmental works in Arunachal Pradesh due to Chinese pressure. Addressing to reporters after inaugurating 'Passport Seva Kendra' here, he said there was no external pressure against taking up of developmental works in Arunachal Pradesh. ''No, certainly not. It was not reported correctly. I had never said we are going to abandon developmental projects either in Arunachal Pradesh or any other pradesh in the country,'' he said. Mr Krishna said Arunachal Pradesh was part and parcel of the country and there was no tension in relations with China. ''There are no tensions between India and China. We have very cooperative and constructive relationship with China and we intend to continue with that. ''I am looking forward to visit China some time next month,'' he said.
