Oldest cyber savvy Rosakutty dead

Hundred-and-nine-year-old Rosakutty, who shot into the limelight three years ago by becoming the oldest student to complete computer training course, died at her home after a prolonged illness here. Rosakutty was confined to the bed for the last one year after a bout of chikungunya fever and she breathed her last yesterday. She is survived by two sons and a daughter. Her husband Paili died in 1982. At the age of 106, Rosakutty hogged the headlines, nationally and internationally, for completing a computer training course through the computer literacy project of the Kerala Government.

She will be laid to rest at the Kothad Sacred Heart Church cemetry this evening.
