Two Lashkar OGWs nabbed in Kishtwar

Police today arrested two Over Ground Workers (OGWs) of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) from mountainous Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir.

''Based on specific information, police this afternoon apprehended two over ground workers from Kurar Patnazi, who were working for the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) outfit,'' official sources here said.

The arrested OGWs were identified as Farooq Ahmed Wani, resident of Tanta Patnazi and Abdul Qadir Keen, resident of Patnazi.

''The OGWs were giving logistic support, providing essential commodities and shelter to the terrorists of LeT outfit and were in close touch with the self-styled LeT District Commander namely Mohd Isaq Bhat Code Ateeq,'' the sources added.

Meanwhile, the troops of Rashtriya Rifles and a team of Special Operation Group (SOG) apprehended an Over Ground Worker (OGW) from remote area of Rajouri district, they here said.

''In a joint operation launched by the RR and SOG late last night in Rehan area of Maniyarwal in Rajouri, an OGW identified as Abdul Quiyyum, 33, resident of Bakori was arrested,'' the sources added.

The OGW, however, was later handed over to the police.
