CRPF jawans have narrow escape

A contingent of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawans had a narrow escape when a mine planted by the naxalites at Murdunda village in the district damaged the rear of a vehicle, police said.

The jawans led by the CRPF Commandant Raghuvir Singh Raghve were travelling towards Avapalli from Basaguda last night when the the rear of the mine-proof vehicle was damaged by a mine laid on the way. One of the jawans in the vehicle received minor injuries. A six-feet deep pit was formed on the road after the explosion.
