Rs 48,000 looted from person coming out of ATM

Two unidentified persons threw chilly powder on the face of a man before running away with Rs 48,000 in his possession in the city today, police said.

Narayan Rameshwaram who was looted by the motorcycle borne persons had withdrawn money from several ATMs on the same day. The miscreants carried out the loot when Rameshwaram came out of the State Bank of India (SBI) ATM at M.G. Marg after withdrawing cash.

The police had launched a hunt for the looters after registring a complaint.
