UPA responsible for loot by Koda in Jharkhand: Nitish
Patna | Saturday, Nov 21 2009 IST

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today accused the UPA of engineering the loot of government money in Jharkhand by installing the then independent MLA Madhu Koda as the Chief Minister of the state a few years back.

On his return here after campaigning for NDA candidates in Jharkhand, Mr Kumar told mediapersons that the UPA, especially Congress and RJD, were responsible for installation of Koda as the Chief Minister of Jharkhand who was facing the charge of misappropriation of crores of rupees, causing great loss to the state exchequer.

''It is for the Congress and RJD to explain that under what exterior motive they had installed an independent MLA as the Chief Minister who amassed assets worth crores of rupees during his short stint in power,'' Mr Kumar said.

He informed that people of Jharkhand would not forgive them and they were destined to bite the dust in the Jharkhand Assembly elections, starting from November 25.

Mr Kumar exuded confidence that people of Jharkhand were fed up with UPA allies and they were reposing faith in NDA in their strive to instal a clean and efficient government in the state.

Responding to a query about recent attack on the IBN network channels in Mumbai and Pune by Shiv sainiks, the Chief Minister said it was unfortunate and they should be dealt sternly. Great cricketer Sachin Tendulkar had raised his voice against such forces and others should also follow the suit, he stated.
