China's intevention in J&K will be opposed : Rajnath
Ranchi | Saturday, Nov 21 2009 IST

Criticising the Manmohan Singh-led UPA government on foreign policies, the BJP today reiterated that the country had failed to even lodge its protest at international forum regarding Arunachal Pradesh.

Mr Singh said the Centre's tackling the Arunachal Pradesh issue with reference to China's ''over reaction'' showed the country in poor light only.

Even Hurriyat leaders were demanding China's intervention into Jammu and Kashmir issue, Mr Singh told a news conference here this evening after attending a series of election rallies in the state.

'' But any such move by the Centre will be opposed by the BJP, '' Mr Singh said.

Mr Singh said the Congress ruled for more than 52 years in the country but it still stood in the list of poor countries.

Mr Singh attributed economic mismangement of the Congress as major reason behind the price hike of essentials.

The Congress saved Quattrochi allegedly involved in Bofors scam and we doubt that people indulged in corruption in this state would also be saved if Congress formed government, Mr Singh alleged.

Referring to PMLA cases involving former chief minister Madhu Koda, Mr Singh said the issue would be raised in Parliment.

'' Entire Koda matter should be investigated properly and faces behind the scam should be brought into light, '' he said adding Koda alone was not guilty in the scam.

'' Even former governor Syed Sibtey Razi was charged with irregularities in his tenure, '' Mr Singh said.

The Congress was also involved in toppling the erstwhile Arjun Munda-led NDA government and installed an Independent MLA to rule the state, the BJP president charged.
