K'taka CM meets Governor
Bangalore | Saturday, Nov 21 2009 IST

Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa today met Governor H R Bharadwaj and appraised him about the state government's efforts to provide relief to the flood affected victims in the state.

The Chief Minister's visit assumed significance as the Governor had recently expressed his displeasure over flood relief works which were affected due to internal squabbles in the ruling BJP government. The Chief Minister, who was with the Governor for over 30 minutes reportedly, informed the latter of the state government's initiatives to mitigate the problems of the flood--affected people in the state.

Mr Yeddyurappa explained to the Governor the state government's efforts to build over two lakh houses before May 2010 with the private-public participation in the 15 flood-ravaged districts of Northern Karantaka.
