India Govt will follow SC directive on OMC: CM
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K Rosaiah today said his government would follow in letter and spirit the Supreme Court directive as and when issued in the case relating to mining dispute between Obulapuram Mining Company (OMC) and another company. According to an official release here, while talking to media channels the Chief Minister clarified that in view of the inter-state ramifications, his Government had, on its own, decided to urge the Centre for an investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Finding fault with the Opposition's attitude on the issue, he said the Opposition parties had pressed for a probe by the CBI. Once the state government decided to go for a CBI probe, these parties wanted stopping of mining and placing of all documents before them, he added. Asked when the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) meet and the Cabinet expansion would take place, he said they would be decided in the due course. The leadership had been busy with various issues, including floods and drought, he said, adding a decision would be taken soon.
