India Don't collect differential amount from poor students: CM
Chief Minister K Rosaiah today advised the management of educational institutions not to collect any differential amount from the students belonging to weaker sections. Reacting to media reports that government would not reimburse special fees in respect of BCs and EBCs, Principal Secretary to CM K Raju, in a statement, said "the Government would like to clarify that there is no change in its policy regarding reimbursement of fees which include tuition fees, special fees and examination fees. "All these three types of fees wil be reimbursed for SCs, STs, BCs and EBCs," he added. Regarding the existing limit of Rs 20,000 for reimbursement of fees as determined by AFRC, Mr Rosaiah has directed the Welfare Departments to assess the financial implications. -- (UNI) -- 21MR10.xml
