Bhagwat rejected SC's ruling on Ayodhya's disputed site: BMMCC

Former MP and convenor of the Babri Masjid Movement Coordination Committee Syed Shahabuddin today said in opposing ''a masjid in Ayodhya'', the RSS Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat had rejected the Supreme Court ruling for the construction of both a mosque and a temple in the acquired area.

Referring to Mr Bhagwat's interview to a news weekly, Mr Shahabuddin in a statement here said Mr Bhagwat should disclose his plans about the scores of mosques and Dargahs existing in Ayodhya.

He alleged that Mr Bhagwat perhaps supported the stand of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad and the Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas that they would accept the judicial verdict of the title suit currently in the final stage of hearing by the Special bench of the Allahabad High Court if it went in their favour and not otherwise.

The Committee was looking towards the government to take note of the Sangh Parivar's stand and clarify that the government was bound by the Constitution to implement the final verdict in the title suit.
