Corruption & misgovernace in Koda's tenure is world famous:Advani
Deoghar | Saturday, Nov 21 2009 IST

Condemning former Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda, senior BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani today said that ''corruption and misgovernance'' during former's tenure was a world record.

''Koda Jaisa Kushasan.. Bharashtrachar Vishwa Me Kahin Nahi Suna (Never heard about misgovernance and corruption as reported during Koda's regime),'' Mr Advani said while addresing an election rally at the college ground here.

Referring to media reports, Mr Advani said that a Mumbai-based newspaper published details of Koda's diary which contains the name of few big shots.

''The entire matter should be investigated properly and truth behind those names should be brought before the people,'' Mr Advani said, adding that issue would also be raised during Parliament session.

Accusing Congress and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha of being responsible for the present status of the state, Mr Advani said Koda government was formed on the lines of both the parties.

''The tenure of UPA backed government in the state was an extreme period of corruption and all those parties were equally responsible for the loot of natural and mineral resources of this state,'' Mr Advani said.

The BJP leader said he had special affection with all the three states formed during the reign of NDA government at the Centre.

''This state has immense potential and Mahendra Singh Dhoni is a unique example of this,'' he said, adding that special care would be taken of mineral and natural resources of the state if NDA forms the government.
