India Pool cars to go off roads on Nov 23
Hundreds of pool cars will go off the roads in the city and adjoining areas on Monday to protest alleged police harassment. Pool Car Owners Welfare Association said about 400 pool cars would go off the roads on November 23. Police have been conducting raids against illegal pool cars in the metro and adjoining areas following a court order. Association chief Abir Roy today alleged that their cars and drivers had been subjected to all sorts of troubles as police force them to deposit licence as well as vehicles for not having ''proper papers''. The association demanded that the government issue separate licence to the the owners so that they could run business peacefully. Pool car services, used by many government agencies, private offices and schools, will be affected due to the strike. -- (UNI) -- 21CA20.xml
