Railways to set up a permanent memorial for 26/11 victims
Mumbai | Saturday, Nov 21 2009 IST

Saluting the brave men and women who fought the terrorists during the November 26 attacks on Mumbai, and to pay homage to those who were felled by their guns, the railways will set up a permanent museum in the city, Railways Minister Mamata Banerjee said today.

Speaking at a function, organised by Central and Western Railways, she said it would be a memorial from the railways for the departed souls. Photographs of every one, both Indian and foreign, who lost their lives during the orgy of terrorist attack on the city would be displayed permanently besides highlighting the valiant role of some of the people who fought the terrorists.
