India Sourav's security concern force CAB to change venue at Eden
The Cricket Association of Bengal(CAB) has re-shifted the Ranji trophy tie between Bengal and Saurashtra to Eden Gardens after Sourav Ganguly voiced his concern over the security arrangments at Jadavpur University stadium at Salt Lake. The match was earlier shifted to the Jadavpur University due to renovation work at Eden Gardens for 2011 World Cup. Sources said the former India captain had a conversation with CAB president Jagmohan Dalmiya, where he expressed aprehensions about the security arrangments at the unversity's open ground. Ganguly was also concerned about the condition of the JU's pitch, sources added. Meanwhile, CAB Joint secretary Biswarup Dey had several round of talks with the senior police officials but failed to get any assurance from them regarding security system at Jadavpur ground. '' So we have decided to shift back the match at Eden'', Dey said. Ganguly, who featured in Bengal's prevoius home match against Baroda, will return to the team for the tie against Surashtra starting from November 24. -- (UNI) -- 21SPC2.xml
