India Delhi take top spot in KVS National Sports meet
Delhi region emerged the champion in the five-day KVS National Sports and Games Meet which came to an end here at the Karnail Singh stadium yesterday. While the overall championship was bagged by the host Delhi region with 271 points, Bangalore stood second with 154 points and Chennai grabbed the third place with 118 points. Delhi girls led the field with 118 points followed by Bangalore with 73 points at second place and Chennai with 69 points at third place. Among the boys, once again Delhi made its mark to take the top spot with 153 pts, followed by Bangalore with 81 pts at second place and Chandigarh with 63 pts at the third place. KVS Commissioner Ranglal Jamuda was the chief guest at the occasion and was welcomed by the Scouts and Guides of Delhi region. The prize distribution ceremony was followed by the colourful cultural presentation, which began with a magnificent band display by the students of Delhi region. -- (UNI) -- 21SPD10.xml
