India Tata Power raises $300 mln via FCCBs
Tata Power Company Ltd today said it has raised 300 million dollar through the issue of Foreign Currency Convertible Bonds (FCCBs). The company had earlier this month launched a 250 million dollar FCCB issue, with an upsize option of 50 miilion dollars, The FCCBs are convertible at 10 per cent premium over the closing price of the company's shares on National Stock Exchange of India Ltd on November 5 and bear a yield to maturity of 3.5 per ecnt per annum, calculated on a semi-annual basis. The allotment of the bonds was completed yesterday, the company said in a statement. These bonds will be listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange and Nomura is the sole underwriter and book-runner to the offering, the statement added.
