India New low pressure to bring rains
A new trough of low pressure area has formed over the South West Bay promising to bring rainfall for the next 24 hours. Weather office sources here today said under its influence, coastal districts of Tamil Nadu and some interior parts would experience rainfall or thundershowers during the next 24 hours. Chennai City, suburbs and several parts of the State, which bore the brunt of rain fury last week following a couple of low pressure systems that activated the North East Monsoon, experienced light showers early this morning. The rainfall had since abated and the city received some mild showers during the last two days. The sun came out in the morning and the skies remained overcast for some time.
