K'taka CM condoles Shankarananda's death

Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa condoled the death of Former Union Minister B Shankarananda today.

In a message here, he said ''Mr Shankarananda, who had won seven times from the Chikkodi Loksabha (Reserved) Constituency consecutively, had also served as a Union Minister for over two decades. ''In his death 'we have lost a veteran leader who espoused the cause of Karnataka at the Centre.'' Karnataka Legislative Council Chairman Virannamathikati and Opposition Leader in the Legislative Assembly Siddaramaiah also condoled the death of Mr Shankarananda.
