Peace Run to held in Mumbai on Nov 22
Mumbai | Friday, Nov 20 2009 IST

''Mumbai Peace Run'' will be held in the city on November 22 to pay tribute to the martyrs of 26/11 terror attacks and demand zero tolerance towards terrorism.

The event, to be organised by St Angelo's Computer Education and 50 non-governmental organisations, includes oath taking to fight against terrorism followed by the Peace Run. The participants have been asked to assemble at Nariman Point at 0630 hours and the run will be held between 0700 hours and 0900 hours from Oberoi Towers to Tarapore Aquarium.

Renowned wrestler Khali, who has specially come down from the USA for the Peace Run, would demonstrate some simple self-defence techniques to combat terror attack on the occasion.

Announcing the ''Peace Run'', St Angelo's Computer Education Chairman and Managing Director Angelo Rajesh today appealed the countrymen to show their solidarity and strength against terrorism.

Ruksana Kausar, who killed Laskar-e-Toiba terrorists who entered her home in Kashmir on September 27, said, ''If only we are more aware of our surroundings and use our presence of mind, we can not only fight but also defeat the demon of terrorism without much difficulty.'' ''It is just the psychological fear that keeps us under their threat. Once the fear is overcome by sharp presence of mind, we will win over terrorism,'' she said.

The Peace Run will be lead by Khali, Olympic runner Milkha Singh, President of All India Anti-Terrorist Front Bitta Singh and Rukhsana Kausar among others.
