India RTC Management, NMU hold preliminary level talks
Andhra Pradesh Road Transport Corporation(APSRTC) Managing Director S S P Yadav today held preliminary level talks with leaders of the National Mazdoor Union here today. On directions from State Transport Minister S Vijayaramaraju and RTC Chairman M Satyanarayana Rao, Mr Yadav held talks with NMU President M Nageswara Rao and other union leaders on NMU's demands which included wage revision for 93,000 regular employeesand regularisation of the services of 18,000 contract workers. The talks would be continued on November 21 after discussions between RTC Executive Directors and NMU leaders on RTC's financial resources and its ability to consider the NMU's demands, RTC sources said. The NMU at its emergency State Executive Committee meeting here yesterday had unanimously resolved to serve legal notice on the RTC management and the state government on November 27 and go on strike any day on or after December 11. -- (UNI) -- 19MR15.xml
