CAB asks Rusi to file specific report on captaincy issue

The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) has asked Bengal's Ranji squad manager Russi Jeejeebhoy to submit a specific report on the captaincy controversy in Mysore, Karnataka.

The manager has been asked to reply the reasons behind naming Manoj Tiwari, the captain when CAB president Jagmohan Dalmiya and other officials here wanted Deep Dasgupta to lead the side in Mysore against Karnata in absence of injured Laxmi Ratan Shukla, a published report here today said.

CAB has set a deadline asking Jeejeebhoy to submit the report within 24 hours after the completion of current match being played in Mysore.

The CAB will take fitness test of Rohan Gavaskar on Sunday here as the bastman was dropped from first two matches of Ranji squad owing to groin injury. Bengal take Saurashtra in nextt Ranji Trophy at Eden Gardens from November 24.
