APCC expels two more rebels, revokes expulsion of two

Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee President D Srinivas today expelled two more rebels of the party for contesting in the GHMC polls even as he revoked expulsion order against two rebels after they assured support to the official candidate of the party.

APCC General Secretary Rapolu Ananda Bhaskar said Rajnikanth and Polamravinder Yadav, were expelled from the party for six years with immediate effect, a press release here said.

The Congress leaders said the expulsion order issued against Sarvey Gnaneswar of Maccha Bollaram and T Yella Rao of Fatehnagar, was revoked since they have given in writing to work for the official candidates of the party.

The APCC President had yesterday expelled 46 rebel candidates of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections for six years with immediate effect.

Mr Srinivas has formed a seven-member committee to look into the membership drive and included four party leaders for interacting with the Media in continuation to the earlier arrangement, the release added.
