Police arrest 5 gangs

Cyberabad Police today arrested five gangs involved in theft cases in various places in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad and seized stolen properties worth Rs 70 lakhs from their possession.

According to police, the five gangs comprising 13 thieves, had committed burgalaries in Uppal, Malkajgiri, Alwal, Saroornagar and Balanagar.

Police recovered 66 two-wheelers, six tractors and gold ornaments weighing about 40 tulas from them.

The police urged the public not to purchase stolen vehicles or gold from unknown persons.
