HK Dua, Javed Akhtar among RS probables

Veteran Journalist HK Dua and film personality Javed Akhtar are understood to have been recommended by the Government for the Rajya Sabha, informed sources confirmed tonight. Mr Dua is presently Chief Editor of the Daily Tribune and Javed Akhtar who is a lyrist is husband of actress Shabana Azami, who had earlier been a member of the Rajya Sabha. Other two persons who have also been recommended by the government for nomination to the Upper House of the Parliament are space scientist CNR Rao and former ISRO chief G Madhavan Nair, sources said. -- (UNI) -- 17DI59.xml
