Jetlite plane makes emergency landing at NSCBI Airport
Kolkata | Tuesday, Nov 17 2009 IST

A Bangalore-bound Jetlite plane, carrying 106 passengers, made an emergency landing at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport this evening, 20 minutes after its takeoff, following some engine trouble.

''The pilot suspected that the plane had hit something, possibly a rabbit, on the runway while taking off at about 1730 hours,'' an air traffic controller told UNI. A full emergency was declared at the airport. However, the plane landed safely, he added.
