India India should take steps to extradite US terror suspects: BJP
The BJP today demanded that the Government take measures to get extradited LeT operative David Coleman Headley and HUJI member Tahawwur Hussain Rana, the two suspected terrorists arrested in US, who are in the custody of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for planning to carry out terror strikes in various Indian cities. BJP spokesman Prakash Javadekar said the two Pakistan-based suspects, who were believed to have engineered the November 26 attacks on Mumbai, were roaming freely in Pakistan and India had failed badly in making these suspects face the law. Now that the FBI has strong evidence of the involvement of Harkat-Ul-Jihad-al-Islami (HUJI) in the blasts, the Government should move swiftly to get the US-based conspirator planning to attack India and Denmark extradited, he said. The FBI also has filed affidavits against Rana, who is a Canadian national and owner of an immigration firm after arresting him on October 18 at Chicago. -- (UNI) -- 13DI25.xml
