India CBI-WCCB arrest 7 tiger paochers, seize tiger parts
The Wildlife Crime Control Bureau (WCCB) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) have in a joint operation arrested seven tiger poachers and traders in tiger parts. They have recovered two full tiger skins, 25 kg of tiger bones, seven otter skins and other contraband from their possession. The suspects nabbed by the two agencies belong to an organised gang of tiger poachers. The WCCB and CBI are now working on the linkages aspect and further investigation may lead to arrest of kingpins, the Wildlife officials said here today.
