Yusuf likes to use Ranji matches for comeback into national squad

Yusuf Pathan today said Ranji Trophy matches are opportunities for him to exploit the situation and perform well so that he could return to the national squad in all versions of the game.

The all-rounder is here to play for Baroda in a four-day Ranji Trophy match against Bengal, beginning at the Eden Gardens tomorrow.

Yusuf said he was keen to serve the nation in all forms of cricket.

He added that he was keen to play the longer version of the game since he never played Test Cricket for India. The 25-year-old hard-hitting batsman said he, however, would not like to change his style of batting since it would be a difficult proposition at this time of his life.

Yusuf, who will be playing against Sourav Ganguly, said he was an admirer of '' Dada'' and profitted by his advices.

He said the Eden Gardens' pitch will provide a good cricket between Baroda and Bengal.
