UPCA to stake for hosting Indo-African one day

Despite facing hurdles in conducting the second test match between India and Srilanka, Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) can stake for hosting one day international(ODI) match between India and South Africa scheduled in February next year.

South Africa team is scheduled to visit India next year in February. Tour and fixture committee of Board for Cricket Control of India (BCCI) would hold a meeting to decide dates and venues of matches. UPCA sources said the association can demand to host an ODI as test matches do not make money for centers, to fulfill the loss of test match, board can offer the center to host ODI match.

They said association can demand to host a one day match after the successful completion of this test match starting from November 24.

UPCA joint secretary Premdhar Pathak told UNI that view of association has been already conveyed to BCCI in this reagrd.
