Youth shoots sister's 'friend' in Rajouri

A youth was seriously injured after being shot at by his female friend's brother in village Nariyan of Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir, police sources here today said.

''The accused identified as Rajesh Kumar, was arrested this morning after he fired upon and injured one Ravinder Kumar of Nowshera, Rajouri while he was talking the former's sister outside their house,'' police sources told UNI.

They said the duo had an affair and was caught by the accused outside his home.

''Rajesh fired at Ravinder with a 12 bore rifle and absconded,'' sources added.

Police parties this morning conducted raids and arrested the accused while a case against FIR number 3339/09 under sections 307 has been registered against him.
