CPI castigates Shivraj for his statement on Biharis
Patna | Saturday, Nov 7 2009 IST

The CPI today criticised Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Chouhan for his statement on Biharis that they would not be given jobs in his state, saying it was against the provision of the Constitution.

State secretary of the party Jabbar Alam told media persons here that Mr Chouhan had perhaps ''lost his balance'' and was giving statements which were not suppose to be given by the Chief Minister of a state.

''If constitution has given the rights to every citizen to earn livelihood in his place of choice, how could a Chief Minister deny this fundamental right granted to them,'' the CPI leader questioned.

Such trend, gaining momentun in different parts of the country, would prove detrimental to unity and integrity of the nation, he cautioned.
