Campus Front of India officially launched in Delhi

Campus Front of India, which aims to empower the campuses by developing a new generation of activists, was officially launched here today at the National Students Convention.

According to A Mohamed Yusuff, general convenor, National Students Convention, '' Campus Front of India, a neo-social student's movement, aims to empower the campuses by developing a new generation of activists.'' He said, ''Campus Front of India will be in the forefront in leading students to take up social issues, strive for the oppressed sections of the society and empower the campuses to mark a new dawn in the history of Students Activism.'' ''Campus Front of India was formed as a result of the series of discussions held by student organisations which were active in taking up social issues in various parts of the country,'' he said.

A seminar was held on the theme 'Students for Social Change'. Prof Tanikha Sarkar of Jawaharlal Nehru University, Prof P Koya, the Chief Editor, Thejas Daily, Kerala were among the prominent guest speakers, who were present at the seminar.

Delegates from various states were present in the convention.
