Love, spirituality going together Chennai | Saturday, Nov 7 2009 IST
Hundreds of people, braving heavy rainfall, gathered to receive blessings as Swami Jyothirmaya, senior faculty of the Art of Living, went around spreading love and spirituality in the city today. The swamiji, who had been deputed by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, would be in the city till November 11 to conduct an unique padyatra programme titled Anugrahotsavam (the divine present) during which he would bless people, listen to their problems and create spiritual awareness among them. On Saturday, he visited the cancer hospital in Adyar where he blessed more than 300 people suffering from the deadly disease. From there, he walked all the way to the Sri Parthysarathy Swami Temple blessing as many as he could on the way. Talking about this spiritual-walking movement, the Swamiji said, ''faith is the only driving force in life. ''The whole world moves with faith. We first set our faith in our mothers and slowly it expands.'' -- (UNI) -- 07MS58.xml
