India Left Front Chairman congratulates electorate for peaceful poll
Left Front Chairman and CPI(M) State Secretary Biman Basu congratulated the electorate of ten Assembly constituencies for exercising their franchise peacefully in today's by-elections. In a statement, the Front Chairman said, ''THe Opposition has tried to create an atmosphere of violence before the elections, but despite that the polls ended almost peacefully.'' ''The Left Front is congratulating the electorate, the poll workers and all others associated with the election process,'' Mr Basu said.
