Passing out parade of TES batch held

Altogether 123 gentlemen cadets participated in the Passing out Parade of Technical Entry Scheme Course Serial TES-14 at the Cadets Training Wing of the Military College of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering today. Lt Gen Vinay Sharma, SM, VSM the Master General of Ordnance, who reviewed the parade, emphasised on character building, dedication to service, positive attitude and upholding the highest traditions of Indian Army at any cost. He also stressed upon the importance of technical proficiency for an officer to keep pace with today's techno-centric environment.

The Commandants Gold Medal for standing first in the overall order of merit was awarded to Wing Cadet Captain Prabal Tandon and the silver medal for standing second in the overall order of merit was bagged by Platoon Cadet Captain Arun Kumar Yadav.

In the field of sports, the silver medal for the best sportsman was awarded to Wing Cadet Adjutant M Redekar and the Rajput Regiment Gold Medal for the Best Gentleman Cadet in outdoor training was given to Wing Cadet Captain Prabal Tandon.

The Gentlemen Cadets will now proceed to Indian Military Academy, Dehradun to get commissioned into the Army on December 12.
