MANUU launches course in Ghazal Appreciation
Hyderabad | Saturday, Nov 7 2009 IST

The Maulana Azad National Urdu University today launched a course in Ghazal Appreciation for the benefit of non-Urdu Ghazal lovers.

The certificate course in Ghazal Appreciation is at spoken level and will be taught in six months, a press release said. Addressing a gathering at a function here, Head of Urdu Department, Khalid Sayeed, said Ghazal was the most popular yet equally dodgy genre of Urdu poetry. The course is an effort to make the wordings of any Ghazal comprehensible to non-Urdu listener.

He further said his department was planning to start Learn Urdu certificate course from the next academic year.
