Henriques to be back within 1 week
Melbourne | Saturday, Nov 7 2009 IST

Injured all-rounder Moises Henriques is determined to be back in the national side within a week and has set his sights on playing in the Australian one-day team for the series against West Indies and Pakistan Henriques was asked to fly out to India to replace injured James Hopes but his maiden ODI series lasted just two games before he returned home with a hamstring injury.

''As a kid, I said all I wanted was to play one game for Australia, but when you get that one game, you just want more and more,'' said Henriques.

''I am still learning my craft. Playing for your country isn't easy, maybe this is what I needed to show me how professional you need to be to ensure you're able to take the field every time,'' the all-rounder, who was one of the archiects of NSW's title win in the Champions League.

The 22-year-old has played two one-dayers and one Twenty20 for Australia. A physiotherapist will assess the damage to his right hamstring today.

''I want to be back in a week or two,'' the all-rounder was quoted as saying by the Sydney Morning Herald.
