CM requests Union Minister for bypass on NH9
Hyderabad | Friday, Nov 6 2009 IST

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K Rosaiah today requested Union Road Transport and Highway Minister Kamal Nath to build a bypass at Nidumolu Village,at a section of NH-9 in Krishna District in the state, for the 4/6-laning of Vijayawada-Machilipatnam road as it would mitigate the social outcry of the poor and assuage their religious feelings.

In a letter to the Union Minister, a copy of which was released to the press here, Mr Rosaiah said the 4/6-laning of Vijayawada-Machilipatnam road is being taken up under NHDP Phase III for which the process of land acquisition is in progress.

He requested the Union Minister to provide a bypass to Nidumolu Village by utilising the Donka Road for alignment so that the demolition of residential houses, shops, mosque and burial ground can be avoided.
