CMRF for flood relief crosses Rs 165 cr: CM

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K Rosaiah today announced contributions to Chief Ministers Relief Fund (CMRF) for the flood victims had crossed Rs 165 crore.

In a special message, here he thanked and expressed gratitude to all philanthropists, individuals, industrialists, businessmen, traders, film artistes, technicians, government, ovasi-government employees,public and private sector units, its employees, employers, senior citizens, journalist associations including the managements of print, electronic media, womens wing associations, politicians, public representatives, IAS & IPS officers and others who had contributed for flood relief. ''It was a very positive and magnanimous response from the people. People came forward for the noble cause. They followed the dictum 'Service to mankind is service to the God','' Mr Rosaiah said. The Chief Minister said the damage was minimised with the best ever rescue and relief operations in the history of the country.

This was also applauded by one and all. The Central team which visited the flood-hit areas also applauded the relief operations by the State Government machinery, he said.
