India Ambika soni to kick of International Children's Film fest
Union Information Minister Ambika Soni will kick off the 16th International Children's Film Festival at Prasad's IMAX here on November 14, which will screen 70 films from across the world besides 25 documentaries on children's issues. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K Rosaiah would take part in the inaugural function, State Information Minister J Geeta Reddy told a press conference here. The city had been named a permanent host for the biannual event in 1995 by the Children's Film Society of India. The screening committee has selected 70 films for screening from more than 160 entries from Switzerland, Belgium, Germany, China, Sri Lanka and others in the International, Asian Panorama and childrens World categories, she said.
