FAME to conduct NSUI organisational polls in AP

Dissolving all National Students Union of India bodies at the state, district and block levels in Andhra Pradesh, NSUI national President Hibi Eden today announced that the Foundation for Advanced Management of Elections (FAME) will conduct its organisational elections in the state. ''Our experiment with the involvement of outside agency in supervising internal elections in NSUI was a success in Uttarakhand and Punjab. Now we are extending it to other parts of the country,'' he told a press conference along with FAME general Secretary K J Rao, a former secretary of the Election Commission. All India Congress Committee General Secretary Rahul Gandhi had roped in FAME to strengthen NSUI, he said.
