Expressing concern over the security of Sri Lanka cricket team in view of the terror attack it had faced in Lahore, Pakistan in March last, the Sri Lanka Cricket Board today took stock of the security measures during Indo-Lanka test match to be played here at Green Park stadium starting November 24.

Lawrance Fernando, the security advisor of the Sri Lankan cricket team and also the secretary of the board, had a closed door meeting with the district officials expressing great security concerns.

He was here last eveing and had a meeting with the District Magistrate and Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) and other officials.

According to district officials, Fernando looked satisfied with the security arrangements and gave some suggestions which included some hi-teck measures to be in place during the match. Both the teams are likely to reach here on November 21 and a thick security blanket would be thrown around them.

Arriving from Ahmedabad, the Sri Lankan visited hotels and stadium and said he was satisfied with the arrangements at both the places.

In a chat with reporters, Fernando admitted India was different from Pakistan where the Lankan team became a target of the terrorist and ruled out any such attack in India.

Meawnhile, the state government had already on to the job and a security review had already ben done at the government level, Mahesh Gupta, the secretary( Home), UP told UNI here this evening in Lucknow.
