'Akhila Bharata Ayyappa Seva Sangam' state meet on Nov 9

'Akhila Bharata Ayyappa Seva Sangam' state conference will be held at Nemmara on November 9.

Addressing a press conference here today, Sangam President D Vijayakumar and General Secretary Mohan K Nair said 5,000 delegates from 1500 units and 35 unions of the Ayyappa Seva Sangam in the state would participate in the conference. State Devaswom Minister Kadannappally Ramachandran would inaugurate the conference. O Rajagopal, M P Veerendrakumar, Ramesh Chennithala, Thennala Balakrishna Pillai, Kerala Deputy Speaker Jose Baby, MLAs and other prominent persons will also participate. The 'Ayyappa Seva Sangam' has taken steps to provide all necessary facilities, including provision of drinking water and food, for the Sabarimala pilgrims at different centres, including Erumely, Azhutha, Kallidumkunnu, Karimala, Valiyanavattom, Ranni, Pandalam, Uppupara, Vadasserikkara, and Chengannur. The state conference will evaluate the arrangements at different centres. They appealed to the state Government to withdraw the Devaswom Amendment Bill as it was detrimental to temple rights. 'Ayyappa Seva Sangam' leaders appealed to the State Government to take all security measures at Sabarimala including the deployment of rapid action force.
