India Markets have undergone sea change: Narain
National Stock Exchange (NSE) MD and CEO Ravi Narain today said the markets had undergone sea change and such changes will continue to take place. Speaking at the launch of the Madras Stock Exchange-National Stock Exchange tie-up here, Mr Narain, describing the tie-up as a historic moment, said the regional stock exchanges played an important role in raising capital. Praising the MSE for assiduously developing capabilities over 70 years, he said the tie-up now offered an opportunity for the MSE members to trade on a national scale. To make the NSE trading platform accessible and further financial inclusion, the exchange had tied up with the MSE. He said MSE members can now trade in cash and F&O segments on the NSE with regional stock exchange being the nodal agency for ensuring compliance requirements. The tie up will help reach out to small investors and small enterprises. It would also enable the NSE to spread operations and penetrate markets. -- (UNI) -- 05MC10.xml
