HC stays narco test on Ghandy
New Delhi | Thursday, Nov 5 2009 IST

The Delhi High Court today stayed the narco test on Communist Party of India-Maoist leader Kobad Ghandy till December 14.

Ghandy had moved the High Court yesterday to quash the October 21 order of a lower court that he will have to undergo a narco test.

Hearing the petition today, Justice Indermeet Kaur ordered the narco-analysis test to be stayed till December 14, the next date of the hearing. Ghandy, who heads the CPI (Maoist) publication wing, was nabbed in South Delhi following inputs from intelligence agencies. He has been a part of the Peoples War Group (PWG) since the 1960s.
